For Martian or for worse
Sep. 24th, 2015 01:37 amI'm entering the home stretch by writing up the projected bio of the other key secondary character: April.
Name: April Marian Patterson.
Age: 24
Birthday: 1 April.
About April: Much as Elly's brother Phil was the cool relative Mike and Liz liked to hang out with growing up, Françoise and Jimmy look forward not only to her coming down to visit from her home in Calgary but also spending their summers hanging out with her as she and her significant other operate their horse rescue facility. The only shadow on their happiness is the fact that for some reason, their elders seem ill at ease when she drops in unannounced. This is because they have yet to realize that their cool aunt is someone Daddy's boss Mr Mayes injects into a situation if he thinks that Elly, Liz or Anthony have started acting like idiots again. While it's a distant, troubling memory for Francie and a complete mystery to Jimmy, April seems to have established herself as the relative everyone feared during the end-game of what he called 'The Great Dysfunction'. The only relative not known to worry about her arrival is, of course, Michael because he constantly forgets that she knows certain things that could, if she weren't waiting for himself to shoot himself in the foot, destroy the grand façade he cowers behind.
