So, because of this amazing talent of hers, we are able to be sincerely viscerally revolted by the horrid behavior of her characters. And we have to conclude that Lynn succeeds so well in eliciting that emotional reaction from us mainly because she is blissfully unaware of the sheer hideousness of the portraits she paints.
She's as much as admitted that she doesn't see the strip we do; remember how homesick Liz didn't look? We saw someone starting to build a life for herself while Lynn saw someone pining away for the comforts of home.
