Nicer still is how Lynn reacts to any criticism of her characters or the unbelievable circumstances in which they find themselves. The same woman who looks at the appalling simpleton whose reaction to having to acknowledge his children's existence by pathetically wailing for his wife to do her wife thing and keep the annoying half-people who, for reasons that he'll never figure out, get in his way and call the mess a great father no doubt looks back on this revolting act of cowardice, unacknowledged bigotry, whining, idiocy and its incomprehensible resolution as Mikey-girl's finest hour instead of what it was: the sordid story of a lucky inverterbrate being rewarded for unmasking a Scooby-Doo villain.
