The interesting thing about the end of this current month of confused history is that from here on in, we don't really have to deal with reprints; what we do have to deal with is Elly's being a bad friend to Connie after her break-up with Ted. Instead of being remotely supportive, she let her need to share her opinion of Ted take precedence over the need to simply be a shoulder to lean on. The problem, of course, is that this is nothing new; since she doesn't ever seem to learn to keep her mouth shut or to look at a problem from someone else's viewpoint, she's sort of a poor choice to be a confidant. She demonstrated this decades later when Connie took a trip down memory lane and revealed that she still had a thing for Ted; rather than admit that her nemesis has good points she can't see, Elly clucked about how miserable she would have been.

Or, for that matter, stick up for her. Ted might be a knob but even he deserves better.
