It's small wonder that Therese grew to dread the name 'Elizabeth Patterson'. Every time she made the least bit of constructive critcism about the passive lump she fell for, Creepthony whined about how Saint Lizardbreath wouldn't subject him to such 'torment'. For reasons known only to herself, she saw potential for greatness in the pasty-faced goober and noted with alarm his inexplicable attraction to some immature twinkie he met in high school. She might have been able to reconcile herself to his maintaining a friendship with an old flame but for one thing: anecdotal evidence suggested that her rival stood around like a shivering pillar of shit expecting her life to fall into place of its own accord. Worse still, the whole family had desperately low expectations of themselves. As far as she could see, she had to defend a potential titan against the siren song of sacking out. Unfortunately, she proved unequal to the challenge and left in something approaching perfect despair. She even left the chil she'd hoped would bring them closer together behind, not only to prevent herself from the tempation of taking out her rage on an innocent, but to give the moron less of an excuse to vegetate.

I still say that Therese is buried in the back yard.

We haven't seen or heard from her of late at that, have we, now? It's a good thing Liz isn't into gardening or digging stuff outta the freezer, isn't it?;)

Or she could be locked in the attic, like Mrs. Rochester in Jane Eyre. Either way, I think it's suspicious that no one has seen or heard from her and we only have Grandthony's word that she left.

You'd think that an evil, greedy French-Canadian such as herself would have hit him up for alimony or the house.

Yeah. That is strange that she just left like that. It ain't like Liz would realize who odd that seems, is it?

Of course not. She never notices anything. I'd like Candace to get cracking and solve the case.

I'd buy Grandthony as a closet killer. Isn't it always the dull, mousy, types who have a collection of severed heads in the freezer?

I was joking before, but it really is odd that Therese left like that without asking for her share of the house, either by Anthony buying out her share or selling the place and splitting the proceeds. Since Therese was a high-powered career woman, I assume she ponyied up at least half the down payment and mortgage payments. It's weird that someone we've been told over and over again was a money-hungry witch wouldn't get her money back.

Of course, since Lynn is stuck in the 50's, it may not have occurred to her that Therese would have contributed to the payment.

Imagine her shock when she reads an e-mail pointing out that 'Drill Sergeant McNasty' not only kicked in half the mortgage money but also wanted it back as is her legal right. Having someone send her a post card from the 21st century might just make her back-pedal all the more. That, or give her further fodder to 'demonize' her favorite Extra-Bad Person. I can jusi imagine one of Blandthony's retchons featuring his whining that he's so poooooooooor 'cause Therese's lawyers 'took him to the cleaners', by which he meant she got he rightful slice of the marital money cake.
